Our farm consists of 200 acres and is situated nr. the Manifold Valley and Dovedale and lies about one and a half miles north west of the pretty village of Alstonefield in the beautiful Peak District National Park.
During our 20 years here we have tried to work in harmony with our environment and have in this time rebuilt the majority of all our limestone walls, cleared ponds, set trees, and replanted hedges to encourage the wildlife.
The working farm has both traditional and modern buildings. We have a suckler herd (45 cows with calves at foot), around 300 sheep, a dog and cats. Guests are welcome to look around the farm, but children must be under adult supervision. Children love to stay at Gateham Grange during lambing (March and April) when they are able to help bottle feed lambs.
